Kymbrye and Chris had the most magical New Years Eve wedding in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Every detail of their fabulous New Years Eve wedding was so beautiful and meaningful. They held their ceremony at the UNM Alumni Memorial Chapel followed by their gorgeous and fun reception at Marriott Albuquerque in uptown Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kymbrye and Chris met at Twin Peaks and had their very first date at Dairy Queen. Kymbrye knew Chris was “ the one” when Chris bought Kymbrye a Carbon monoxide detector when they first started hanging out. Chris proposed at Torino’s at Home the night of their first year year dating anniversary.
Chris and Kymbrye had a gorgeous NYE wedding. They chose a color palette consisting of black, gold, charcoal, and champagne for their decor. They chose these colors based on their wedding date. The centerpieces were handmade and decorated by the bride, her mom, and two maid of honors. All of the DIY touches made for gorgeous decor and an unforgettable experience! I loved the LEGO superhero boutonnieres that Chris and his groomsmen rocked. I also loved Kymbrye’s gorgeous bouquet and flower crown as well as the beautiful bouquets her bridesmaids held (each one was unique and was truly so lovely altogether). Stephanie Yardman Floral Design knocked it out of the park!
Kymbrye’s wedding inspiration stemmed from their date, NYE (New Years Eve is an awesome date to tie the knot with the love of your life!), and Chris' love of Superheroes, She wanted to tie in something that meant a lot to him to their best day ever. Kymbrye and Chris had a little tree with the names of their loved ones who had passed away at the ceremony so that they would be honored on their big day. Kymbrye’s wedding dress was almost completely remade by Alterations by Kathy who was absolutely phenomenal! Her black wedding dress was stunning and Kymbrye looked SO beautiful!
Their ceremony was SO filled with love and the vows that Kymbrye and Chris wrote for one another were LEGENDARY (they both mentioned juicing cleanses in our vows which was awesome!)! To this day, they still get complimented on their vows! It rained during some of their portrait photos, but that didn’t stop us from capturing beautiful photos of their wedding party as well as romantics of the bride and groom.
After the portraits, we took a drive to Dairy Queen (where they had their first date) which was super special to them and a seriously incredible memory to make together! After some blizzard yumminess, we headed to the reception for their grand entrance and to get the party started! They had special dances with their moms and Kymbrye had a traditional father daughter dance. Their reception was full of love, laughter, and so much fun! They danced the night away and it was the perfect way to end the decade as well as for Kymbrye and Chris to start their new journey as Mr. + Mrs.!

I asked Kymbrye if she could share some advice for brides and grooms planning their big day! This is what she had to share:
“What advice would you give to future brides planning their wedding day?”
“Get everything in writing! Anything a vendor promises or you expect from them should be in writing because they won’t always follow through and that really puts a damper on your day! Also a friend of mine who does wedding photography suggests cleaning up the “getting ready” rooms/space before photos!”
“What advice would you give to future grooms planning their wedding day?”
“Write your own vows. It’s much more fun to hear real personal feelings.”
“What photography-related advice would you offer to other couples?”
"Be clear about expectations & get everything you agree on with your vendors in writing. And don’t try to fake emotions or reactions.”
