Money can be an awkward thing to talk about - but it doesn’t have to be!
I want to keep this simple - no one likes tension! - so transparency is key. I want to keep it real, not keep you in the dark, so when you work with me, you will always know exactly what the bottom line is and what you can expect throughout the process.
If you connect with my work but are feeling iffy about your budget, please reach out anyway! Keep in mind that photography is my profession, not just a hobby - meaning I use it to put a roof over my head and feed the fam (being hangry isn’t good for business). In the same spirit, your wedding is a monumental occasion, not just a party, which is why I don’t take my job lightly. I want to be chosen to capture your happiest moments because you genuinely love my work - not because I’m the cheapest deal around.
Rest assured, I completely understand having #ChampagneTasteWithABeerBudget. Growing up, my family wasn’t able to afford photography services - this girl took her own senior pictures! - so I GET IT. Investing in photography isn't cheap, but your memories are priceless - and there may be a way to make it work for both of us. The date you choose and the number of photographers you need, as well as situations like elopements, courthouse weddings, reception celebrations, and SO many other factors, can affect the grand total of your wedding day (and help you ball on a budget!). These things will determine whether or not all day coverage is what you need, and I won’t know this until we communicate.

We require a non-refundable $500 retainer to book your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding. For portrait sessions, we require 50% of the total as a retainer to book. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your session.
A contract and invoice are sent out and must be signed and a deposit must be paid for in order to secure your date and rate with Jasper K Photography. Travel fees apply outside of New Mexico
