Jade + Steve | Sunrise Engagement Photos in Taos, New Mexico | Taos, New Mexico
Jade and Steve flew all the way from Florida and traveled to Taos, New Mexico to visit family. I was truly lucky to document their love while they visited Taos, New Mexico. I had a blast taking engagement photos with them at Bent Street in Taos as well as Overland Sheepskin Co.
Jade and Steve met in Las Vegas, Nevada in June of 2013. Jade said, “it was love at first rum and coke/$300 losing streak at a blackjack table, lol.” Jade and Steve also have really intense rummy tournaments where they keep track of their wins and losses.
Steve proposed to Jade in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was just the two of them on the beach together and it was incredibly romantic. Jade knew Steve was “the one” for her when she saw the way he interacted with his family (his niece in particular). Jade says Steve has the biggest heart.
If you’ve ever been around the two of them together, their happiness is contagious. The way Steve makes Jade laugh will melt your heart into a huge puddle of goop. Not only are they adorable af, but they are SO much fun to be around.
I met Jade and Steve on an early summer morning on Bent Street in Taos, New Mexico. (Travel tip: If you’ve never been to Bent Street, I highly recommend trying out Bent Street Deli. Their sandwiches are the bomb dot com!) Jade and Steve dressed in the cutest engagement outfits I have ever seen. His blue cactus shirt perfectly complimented her blush pink blouse. The beautiful morning light in Taos is unlike any light source I’ve ever worked with. Their entire engagement session was a dream to photograph. We explored throughout Bent Street, checking out the John Dunn Shops, and a little beyond the Taos Plaza, captured some gorgeous photos, and then headed to Overland Sheepskin Co. for part two of this rad engagement sesh.
One of the best views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains is at Overland Sheepskin Co. in Taos, New Mexico. The way the sun shines on the mountain in the early morning is true New Mexican magic at it’s finest. Jade and Steve had an outfit change for this new location and again, it was PERFECT. They are the definition of #relationshipgoals. They laughed, they played, they snuggled, and they were a true delight to have in front of my camera. I seriously kept telling them they could be a professional model couple.
I loved capturing these photos for Jade and Steve! Their engagement photo session made my photographer dreams come true! The love they share radiates happiness throughout each and every image. Check it out below!
