I loved working with Xamie and Nate on this incredible couples portrait session at the Alameda Bosque Open Space in Albuquerque, New Mexico. These two are the absolute cutest! They both have a strong bond and love for concerts, video games, and yoga. The love they have for one another will make your heart melt into a puddle — you can truly see that they are best friends. <3

March is an incredible time to take portraits in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It’s right in between the end of winter and the start of spring. It can be gloomy and then turn warm and sunny in a matter of minutes. Our session started off with grey overcast skies that made for some moody portraits! Xamie’s blue dress and Nate’s outfit perfectly complimented the dry desert foliage of the bosque.

The sun started peaking through as Xamie and Nate changed for their next look. The bright sun gave for some incredible harsh lighting where I was able to be creative and try out some new posing techniques using shadows and embracing the full sun. Their boho winter outfits and their adorable energy truly made for some of my favorite couples portraits ever!
